Michele earned both her Bachelors degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Stetson University in Florida. While in Florida, she gained experience in rape-crisis counseling, adolescent drug and alcohol counseling and play therapy. After becoming licensed, she worked at Halifax Medical Center, treating children, adolescents, and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

In 2001, Michele returned to Maine and joined the Couples Center, where she discovered a real passion for working with couples. She has taken advanced training in couple’s therapy with David Schnarch, PhD, and utilizes the teachings of Terry Real, David Deida and Brian Weiss. She particularly enjoys teaching practical, every-day skills that clients can use to explore themselves and find new levels of intimacy in their relationships.

Michele is known for bringing humor and a real “down to earth” attitude to her therapy sessions. In her spare time, she enjoys pursuing metaphysical studies, cooking, camping and snowmobiling with her husband, two young sons, and teenage step-daughter.
