Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist

Michele earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, in 1997. During her internship at Halifax Medical Center, she developed and ran an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program for adolescents, taught parenting classes, and provided therapy to families and children in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Michele has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2000, and is a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Teachers (AASECT).

In 2001, Michele joined the Couples Center, where she discovered a real passion for working with couples on building and enhancing connection, intimacy and sexual energy. She has taken advanced training in couples' therapy with David Schnarch, and utilizes the teachings of Terry Real, David Deida, Nicole Daedone, Esther Perel and Brian Weiss.

Michele sees couples as a team, with Darryl Keil, CRC (Certified Relationship Coach). Together, using humor and practical, every-day skills, they bring the wisdom of masculine/feminine polarity to their work, and they particularly enjoy helping couples enhance sexual intimacy and connection. Addressing such issues as low desire, erectile dysfunction, affairs and poor communication (to name a few) has the potential to bring the spark, closeness, passion and pleasure back into a relationship. The unique perspective of a male/female team often brings rapid movement and growth to a relationship.

Michele also sees individuals (in Brunswick office only) and is known for bringing humor and a real "down to earth" attitude to her therapy sessions. In her spare time, she enjoys pursuing metaphysical studies, cooking, mothering her two sons, and hiking, camping, gardening and traveling with her beloved.
